“The talented American singer and songwriter Lauren Scott-Phillips released the beautiful and introspective single “Handsome Woman”, of sensational beauty and aesthetics. Even though it is only 2 minutes and 25 seconds long, the song features simple and deep guitar arrangements driven by Lauren’s beautiful vocal interpretation. It is worth checking out.”
SeepeopleS is the politically-charged indie project led by Portland-based singer/songwriter and producer Will Bradford. The band has been making their way through the indie underground for decades, taking a fluid approach to genre lines but uniting their diverse stylistic instincts with a strident topical edge. “Bradford has toured the country as SeepeopleS’ bandleader, songwriter, and producer, bringing his defiant, politically-charged music to the masses, challenging audiences to question the world around them creating a community of misfits hellbent on speaking truth to power. Now, on SeepeopleS’ brilliant sixth LP, Field Guide For Survival In This Dying World, Bradford has created an empathetic, emotionally intelligent collection of songs that serve as both a documentation of personal struggle and a companion in a world that seems edging closer to collapse.”
“SeepeopleS’ music has always been characterized by Bradford’s staunch refusal to abide by genre conventions, and Field Guide For Survival In This Dying World continues in that spirit, though Bradford’s talent and decades of experience have allowed him to blend 90s inspired electro, expressive indie-folk, and avant-garde pop into something musically diverse yet wholly cohesive.”
The Jack Terricloth Foundation, which formed after the tragic passing of Jack Terricloth of World/Inferno Friendship Society and Sticks & Stones last year, has announced the title and release date for the Jack Terricloth tribute album (the tracklist was released in May and includes Jeff Rosenstock, Catbite, The Bouncing Souls, Worriers, and The Unlovables). It is called Endless Possibility: A Tribute to Jack Terricloth and will be out everywhere October 31.
“Mastering for vinyl, digital, and CDs is a markedly different process. If you upload a bad master going to a digital service provider (DSP) like Spotify, the worst that will happen is the song sounding bad and your friends making fun of your bad taste in music,” music producer Elliott Beenk told Lifewire via email. “If you have a bad master pressed to vinyl, if the bass is too loud, or the grooves too deep, the needle can literally jump off the record and lead to a faulty batch of records.” READ MORE…
“Poppy, upbeat, infectious… a lush musical atmosphere [that] could pass as something Radiohead may have concocted… an impressive feat that is testament to the unique partnership between the duo.”
