The Big Takeover Premieres Sara Rachele’s New Video for “Let Me Make it Up to You (You’re Such a Sweet Thing)”
Decatur, GA-based indie singer-songwriter Sara Rachele recently released her latest album, Scorpio Moon via Angrygal Records.
The LP was recorded live to tape in Brooklyn with Binky Griptite and other members of Amy Winehouse and Sharon Jones’ former backing band The Dap-Kings for all of the full live band recordings. It was co-produced by Rachele and keyboardist Spencer Garn (Ruby Velle & the Soulphonics) and mixed by Atlanta-based engineer and Rachele’s bandmate Kristofer Sampson of New West Records band Ponderosa.

Earlier this year Philadelphia punk band Church Girls released an EP called Cycles, which was a short but sweet showcase of their well-balanced blend of post-punk and indie rock. Now they’re releasing a new full-length in 2020 called The Haunt. Today we’re excited to premiere its dynamic first single, “Could’ve Been.” The track picks up right where the quartet left off with their EP, with open strummed guitar chords, emotive singing from Mariel Beaumont and plenty of moments for live fists-to-the-sky singalong moments.
