Sydney Eloise & The Palms’ latest, “Ode to an Old Friend,” debuts at Culture Collide
Sydney Eloise has been playing music since age 16, but she hasn’t felt this sure of her music until now. “This record truly represents who I am, where I am, and how much work I put in leading up to it,” she says of her debut LP, Faces, out tomorrow.
Recorded at The Cottage studios, a carriage house nestled in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, Sydney Eloise collaborated with good friends and co-producers Damon Moon and Chandler Galloway, and invited local musicians Paul Stevens (Grand Vapids), Jenna Shea Mobley (Book Club) and Matt Jarrard (Royal Thunder, Spirits and the Melchizedek Children) to add instrumentation. “He sent me a Facebook message,” Tasjan said from his home in East Nashville. “He was like, ‘Hey man, I like your thing.
